Per individual requests from an affiliated board, I've designed these signatures below. Let me know what you guys think. They both presented a bit of a unique challenge for me, as I don't usually create signatures that revolve around a specific theme. Smile

I really like the first one the most. The font is hard to read, though. They seem really dull and grainy, though.. :/

Thanks for the comments! Yeah I wasn't too pleased with the final results for either of them. I'm better, in my opinion, at playing with renders and fractals. These were a bit of a challenge for me because I never really do "themed" signatures. Neutral

Yeah, I gotcha. I wasn't sure if the bright thing on the right side of the 1st signature was a render or whatever, but it's not following rules of thirds! haha just messin', but maybe a lightsource would have somehow made that piece 'happier'. It seems really dark and begs emotion.

Btw... notice the turtle in the 2nd signature? bahaha

Yeah I noticed it. Was going to comment the other day but ended up not doing so.

Ah yes, the whole theme of the "turtle" signature is the "Great Atuin" which is the mythological beast in Terry Pratchett's fantasy series Discworld. According to Discworld myth, the people believe that the flat world is supported on the backs of elephants, which are in turn standing on the back of a giant turtle that roams the universe. The avatar I created to go along with the signature bears a similar engraving effect, but of a topographical view of Discworld itself. The subtlety is meant to spark intrigue. Wink

To get that effect (I actually surprised myself with it, by the way), I had cropped out a standard computer render of the subtle image you see in that signature. I then played around with some engraving effects and applied an overlay to the background layer. And... voila! I thought the final effect was pretty cool because, as I said, intrigue.
